Austruct was selected to manage the careful $10 million restoration and refurbishment of this iconic heritage hotel. Austruct did the initial clean-up work after the devastating January 2011 floods and then undertook the restoration of the heritage building including the famous cast iron-laced verandahs and brick-worked walls before completing the extensive construction works of the new Boatshed restaurant, Cellar Bar, Street Cafe, Courtyard and Gaming Room.

Austruct worked closely with the design team to seamlessly merge the sensitive heritage restoration of original architect, Richard Gailey's acclaimed craftsmanship, with exciting new design and functionality for The Boatshed and The Courtyard.  Austruct also worked in-hand with the quantity surveyors to ensure the project was built to the demanding budget and was meticulous in the quality of workmanship and detail.

The Regatta Hotel is one of Queensland's most historic and famous pubs and is on the Queensland Heritage Register as well as on the Register of the National Estate of Australian Heritage Commission.

Austruct went onto winning awards from both Queensland Hotels Association and Australian Hotels Association for this restoration.
